• Education Writers Association:

• First Amendment Center: A forum for the study and exploration of free-expression issues, including freedom of speech, of the press and of religion, the right to assemble and petition the government.

• Freedom Forum: The Freedom Forum serves as an international center for dialogue and debate on a variety of free expression issues.

• International Women's Media Foundation: The IWMF's mission is to strengthen the role of women in the news media around the world, based on the belief that no press is truly free unless women share an equal voice.

• Investigative Reporters and Editors: A professional organization for journalists and journalism educators. IRE produces a variety of journalism resources.

• National Freedom of Information Coalition: a coalition of state freedom of information groups.
